Oilfield tankers ACM are designed for the transportation of crude oil, oily liquids, salt and clay solutions.
NPO "VECTOR" designs and manufactures tankers for the specific needs of the customer: the ACM-10 KAMAZ-43118 modified for the transportation of methanol
ACM tank trucks can be manufactured in all climatic modifications.
Attention! The vehicle must be driven with an empty or a full tank, moving with a partially filled tank can lead to overturning.
Components of the tank:
- tank (suitcase—shape, 09G2S),
- pumping unit SCL-00A,
- electrical equipment,
- fire-fighting equipment (extinguishers, sand box).
Technical specifications
The special vehicle is a tanker mounted on a KAMAZ chassis.
The tank is a welded structure consisting of two bottoms and a suitcase—shaped shell. The tank body is made of 09G2S carbon steel sheet and is reinforced from the inside with flat-curved stiffeners, which additionally act as transverse breakwaters. The tank of the model "M" is protected along the entire length by a 4 mm thick side armor plate. To increase the overall service life of the tank, sealing of welds has been implemented.
There is a filling pipe in the tank. A tank inlet with a manhole ( 500-500 mm) is welded on top of the tank, at the bottom there is a sump and a flange for connection to the pump assembly. There are installed air bleeds to avoid air pockets when filling the tanker; they are made as tubes with the ends derived to the filler pipe. The methanol dispensing unit that is integrated in process cabinet is located in the aft compartment.
There is a filling level indicator on a filler pipe made as a site glass.
On the manhole hatch there are installed valves for tankers’ venting: pressure valve and safety-relief valve.
An operating platform with a non-slip perforated flooring is available on the tanker. A ladder is also pre- installed for comfortable lifting.
The base of the tank is made of supports on a stretcher and is intended for attachment to the chassis. The supports are attached to metal lodgements, which are attached to the spars of the frame by stepladders. Racks and ribs are located under the supports in the lodgements to keep it from crumbling. Rubber shock absorbers are placed under the tank supports.
The electrical wiring is embedded in a metal sleeve, all electrical connections are sealed, the devices are made in an explosion-proof design.
The tank truck has a warning sign "Flammable". Fuel tanks are covered by 4 mm thick sheet steel. There is a ground circuit at the back. 200 mm of it must touch the road surface.
Modification options:
- Heating of the tank from a steam genereting system or from the exhaust gases of the internal combustion engine.
- Thermal insulation of the tank: FRP foam, thermal insulation thickness - 55 mm.
- Tank protection with 4 mm side armor plate along the entire length.
- Anti-corrosion treatment of the tank.
- Vacuum tankers type of cases for pressure-suction hoses.
- Mechanical or electronic type of level gauges.
Improvements for the transportation of hazardous material:
- orange tank with the inscription "FLAMMABLE",
- muffler relocation,
- spark trap,
- shielded wiring,
- ground coil,
- grounding circuit,
- fuel tank protection,
- back-side protector,
- orange warning lights – 2 pcs.,
- fire extinguishers – 2 pcs.,
- sand boxes,
- felt box,
- light-reflecting marking,
- attachment for a class of hazard information sign.
